TOYOTA5大陸走破、第2弾！ 前年はオーストラリア大陸を72日間かけて1周するという壮大なキャンペーンでした。そして2年目を迎えた2015年は北米大陸の走破です。実際にトヨタ社員が過酷な道を運転し、新しい車の開発に役立てたり改善点を探ったり、何よりクルマづくりに対する意識の純度をあげるためのプロジェクトでもあります。「もっといいクルマづくりを」と、それを支える「人づくり」のため、この先2020年までに5つの大陸をトヨタ社員が走破していきます。灼熱の夏から極寒の冬までの長い道のりになる北米の壮大な旅に、瀧本幹也写真事務所から独立した門下生5名とともにリレー形式で撮影に挑みました。ニューヨーク、ネバダ、カリフォルニア、アリゾナ、ユタ、ニューメキシコ、コロラドを瀧本幹也が、極寒のアラスカを樋口兼一が、コロラド、テキサス、ニューメキシコ、オクラホマを佐藤新也が、シアトルのダートフィッシュで社長のラリー走行を杉田知洋江、片村文人、豊田晃佳、映像を國井重人が担当しました。GALLERYのページからは、ほとんどの写真がご覧いただけます。The Toyota 5 Continents Drive - North America episode goes live. The second installment of the Toyota 5 Continents Drive! Last year was an epic campaign in which the team spent 72 days driving around Australia. The second year will see them visit North America. The purpose of the project is to have Toyota employees drive on rough roads, which will help in finding in points to improve while developing new cars, and to most importantly give them a more pure mindset towards making new automobiles. The Toyota team will drive across 5 continents by 2020 in order make better cars, and cultivate the type of people who do so. Mikiya Takimoto took part in the epic journey across North America alongside five of his former understudies. Takimoto visited New York, Nevada, California, Arizona, Utah, New Mexico, and Colorado, while Kenichi Higuchi braved the extreme cold of Alaska. Shinya Sato went to Colorado, Texas, New Mexico, and Oklahoma, and Chiyoe Sugita, Fumihito Katamura, and Teruyoshi Toyota handled the president's rally in Seattle's Dirtfish with Shigeto Kunii documenting in motion.
