The Hirokazu Koreeda-directed film “Last scene,” entirely shot using the Apple iPhone 16 Pro, has just been released. The story has Taiga Nakano and Momoko Fukuchi wrestling with the theme of “what will remain, and what will be lost in the future?” On a film set where the film shoot typically involves the use of large equipment, Mikiya Takimoto only held an iPhone 16 Pro in the palm of his hands. This small device provided for a powerful, versatile camera that pushed creative boundaries, filming alongside actors in motion, while adeptly navigating small spaces and fully leveraging the device’s cutting-edge features. The ending theme features “Majide, Sayonara Baby” (It’s Really Goodbye, Baby), an original song written by Vaundy specifically for the film. Please take a look.
