With the full cooperation of the museum, designed by Le Corbusier, Takimoto was permitted to photograph the museum’s interior and rooftop, areas that are normally off-limits to photographers. He captured the interweaving of the fascinating architecture, space, and light from his artist’s perspective. Featuring 41 new photographs, this volume documents and communicates the museum’s architectural value and cultural significance, as well as passing on its universal value to future generations. It conveys the museum’s fascinating aspects to a wide audience, including domestic and international visitors, students, and researchers.
