An exhibition of 23 newly created photographs is currently on view at SEZON ART SHOP. Due to popular demand, the exhibition has been extended through Sunday, November 29. Featuring 58 photographs, including works shown in the exhibition, the book captures the museum’s architecture and gardens, nestled within the land and forests shaped by the eruptions of Mount Asama. Takimoto also photographed Mount Asama itself. Through his distinctive perspective, Takimoto portrays the museum’s landscapes in relation to the geological origins of the land and the passage of time across the ages. Designed by Yuri Uenishi, the book features a substantial hardcover that evokes the accumulation of history and time. Foil stamping reminiscent of cracks and moss, together with a palette that transitions from deep to vivid green, reflects the lush vegetation of the gardens and the character of the museum down to the finest details. Generous use of white space and a layout featuring one photograph per double-page spread allow each image to stand out, highlighting its individual beauty.
