インタビューの連載 「海街へ」がはじまりました

朝日新聞デジタルのウェブマガジン「＆w」にて、瀧本幹也のインタビュー連載「海街へ」が公開されました。第1回は「海街diary」での撮影秘話やメイキング裏話など。全5回でグラフィックのお仕事や作品についてもお話させていただいています。写真家になった経緯や撮影への想いを通して映画、広告、写真集と「三つのカメラ」を見つめるその眼差しを語ります。またギャラリーでは写真作品や最近のお仕事もご覧いただけます。
Launch of the interview column "Umimachi e". An interview column dubbed "Umimachi e" with Mikiya Takimoto will run in Asahi Shimbun Digital's online magazine "&w". The first installment will cover behind-the-scenes details of the film "Our Little Sister" along with other making-of stories. For a total of five installments Takimoto will go over his work in graphic art and other creations. He will also talk about his views on "the three cameras", film, advertising, and photo books through his background as a photographer and views on the artform. The column will also feature images of his work in photo galleries and other recent projects.

"Our Little Sister" photo book to be available in advance at showings of the film. Many scenes were recorded that didn't make it into the final film. The world of films are everlasting. Photographer Mikiya Takimoto was cinematographer on this film just like he was for "Like father, like son". This book contains photos taken by Takimoto during the filming process, and just like the film fully captures the irreplaceable time woven by the wonderful acting of the sisters and the beautiful seasons of Kamakura. The book also has scenes that didn't make it into the final cut such as the four sisters napping on the porch of their home, or the eldest sister Sachi cutting the youngest sister Suzu's hair. It captures the daily life of the sisters to such a degree one almost forgets the images are from a film. Another great thing about the book is the thorough craftsmanship that went into it, just like the film. The hardcover book design featuring "umimachi color" cloth by art director Chie Morimoto makes it into a volume worth treasuring.
